Just as Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution unveiled the principles of natural selection, AI has become a brute force in our ever-evolving world, paving the way for a future where it may reign supreme – for better or for worse.
Dan Hendrycks, the author of Natural Selection Favors AIs over Humans, told AIM that the future looks bleak unless necessary actions are taken. He is also one of the co-creators of Gaussian Linear Error Units (GELU), a type of activation function used in neural networks.
