Google, one of the largest technology companies in the world, is facing an existential crisis. For years, it has dominated the search engine market with 93% of the share, compared to Microsoft's mere 3%. While Google has been successful in generating search content, there are concerns that its diversification into generative AI for enterprise solutions may have caused it to lose focus.
In contrast, Microsoft, an enterprise company, has been successful in offering such solutions through its Azure OpenAI service. Some argue that search does not require generative AI to thrive. So, can Google regain its focus?
