When Jensen Was in Town
Surviving on two glasses of iced tea and an omelette for breakfast, Huang Jensen’s energy is unmatched – he shares with AIM how AI keeps him on his toes, describing it as nothing short of maddening.
On a cloudy Friday afternoon, we caught up with Jensen, the CEO and president of NVIDIA, at the latter’s Bengaluru office, discussing at length his plans for India and the recent partnership with Indian conglomerates such as Reliance and Tata, alongside its goals to support India’s burgeoning AI startup ecosystem, reskilling the IT workforce, and more.
The man, who believes that our world is built on NVIDIA GPUs, has a vision unlike no other AI leaders. He said, five years ago he was fortunate to have addressed the cabinet, where he had told Prime Minister Narendra Modi that AI was going to revolutionise everything. “There is going to be a new way of writing software, where the computer is the software engineer,” Jensen recounted.
