Unfolding AlphaFold 3 🧬✨

A few days ago, Google DeepMind, alongside Isomorphic Labs–a commercial drug discovery venture of Alphabet–released AlphaFold 3. This latest AI model is said to have achieved a 50% improvement in predicting intersections between proteins and other molecules over existing methods. 

“The holy grail for drug discovery is not just knowing the protein structure, which is what AlphaFold 2 did, but actually designing drug compounds called ligands that bind to the protein surface,” shared Google DeepMind chief Demis Hassabis, in one of the most engaging interactions with Bloomberg's Tom Mackenzie.
