Stack Overflow was grouchy about people posting ChatGPT-produced replies on the discussion platform. Initially, it shook its head and warned them, but later announced a blanket ban on the chatbot citing high inaccuracies in the answers.

Many speculated that Stack Overflow was spooked since ChatGPT could produce instant answers and could potentially make the platform redundant. It seems that the fear was justified, after all. Users are leaving the discussion forum.
