The Facial Recognition Hypocrisy
Facebook announced through a blog post that it was shutting down its Face Recognition System. Users who opted out of the feature will no longer be recognised in videos and photos by the company’s tech.
However, the parent company Meta has a different plan altogether. Meta spokesperson said that the company is still exploring ways to integrate biometric into its latest Metaverse business.

Behind Praxis Business School’s Successful Data Science Placements
This year, 92 companies– highest of all times, recruited graduates of the Praxis Business School. The highest offer made was worth Rs 22.5 lakh, with the average offer being Rs 9.89 lakh and the median for the placement cycle was Rs 10 lakh.
Surprisingly, none out of the 147 offers made to the Praxis Class of 2020 were retracted.

Karnataka’s Big Bitcoin Scam
The recent cryptocurrency case has jolted the Karnataka government in 2021. The case first came to the spotlight in November 2020 when the Central Crime Branch (CCB) allegedly seized 31 bitcoins. The collective worth of these bitcoins was said to be Rs 9 crores.
However, it was later discovered the accused had misled CCB that the coins have been transferred. In the latest update, accused Srikrishna Ramesh, who was let out on bail, has gone incommunicado.
