Replit Outshines Amazon & Microsoft

Last month, Google partnered with Replit with the aim to up its auto-coding and generative AI game, alongside turning “non-developers into developers”, where it gave the company full access to its infrastructure and machine learning platform, ‘Vertex AI’.
It claimed that programmers can code complex-architectured software in 1/1000th of the time. This partnership comes as a move to compete with the likes of Microsoft’s GitHub, Amazon CodeWhisperer and OpenAI.
In India, Google-backed Replit is way ahead of its competitors when it comes to providing accessibility to budding software developers. Estimates show that India is likely to touch 5 million developers, overtaking the US by the end of 2023.
