Apollo is shutting down. Not the space mission, which is already dead, but the third-party Reddit app.
The company’s founder Christian Selig, in a Reddit post, announced that the social media platform’s recent policy would cost him $20 million annually to keep his app operational.
There are other similar third-party Reddit apps such as Narwhal, Reddit is Fun and BaconReader that are going to meet the same fate. This has irked many subreddits which plan to temporarily shut down to protest against it.
