Google is inadvertently attracting trouble. The tech giant is facing global criticism for biased outputs and image generator mishaps, sparking rumours of CEO Sundar Pichai potentially stepping down, among other things. Despite this turmoil, Google seems to be managing the situation effectively, recognising these issues as minor setbacks.
Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis recently announced that the company plans to resume the image generation capabilities of Gemini soon. “We have taken the feature offline while we fix it,” he said at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. “We hope to have it back online very shortly, in the next couple of weeks.” He admitted that the product was not working as they intended.
