This week, Google introduced some cool new generative AI features for Chrome, like tab organiser (much needed), custom AI-generated themes, and AI-powered writing assistance. It even released a text-to-video diffusion model called Lumiere. Google is unstoppable, and if this persists, it is most likely to kill ChatGPT, or certainly make a significant dent in its usage.
The new generative AI features on Chrome will be available in the coming days with an initial rollout for Macs and Windows PCs in the US, followed by other countries.
“We're introducing experimental generative AI features to make it even easier and more efficient to browse — all while keeping the experience personalised to you,” said Parisa Tabriz, vice president of Chrome, in the official blog post.
