Today, Anthropic launched Claude 3.5 Sonnet, the first release in the Claude 3.5 model family. This brand new model outperformed OpenAI’s GPT-4o, Google Gemini 1.5 Pro, and its predecessor, Claude 3 Opus, in various evaluations, combining enhanced intelligence with the speed and cost efficiency of mid-tier models.

The model is available for free on Claude.ai and the Claude iOS app, with higher rate limits for Claude Pro and Team plan subscribers.
