Google’s obsession with search dates back to its early days, when Larry Page famously said, the company “will fulfil its mission only when its search engine is AI-complete”. Now, it is all coming true with the integration of a generative AI, aka search generative experience (SGE), which is currently available in the US, Japan and India. The feedback has been positive so far.
The tech giant has posted impressive Q3 earnings. Alphabet, Google's parent company, reported an 11% revenue growth, marking a return to double-digit figures after a year, primarily from its search and advertising business. Notably, out of the $76.69 billion revenue for Q3, the advertising business contributed $59.65 billion.
