Classical Computers – that’s what computers which run on binary (0,1) are now called after the development of quantum computing – are at major risk. All the security it builds around itself through various bits of encryption such as the RSA algorithm will easily be breached now. The boon called quantum computing has become the bane for the classical computer world.
In the face of an immense challenge, the experts came to the realisation that the quantum menace could only be quelled by the very force that gave it life – quantum computing.
Currently, the classical cryptography problem is being addressed either by Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) or Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
