ChatGPT Clears UPSC Prelims

Clearing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) prelims exam is an arduous feat due to its daunting nature, with a success rate of only 25%. The UPSC conducts one of the toughest and most competitive exams in India to select candidates for various prestigious positions in civil services, including IAS, IPS, IFS and others.
In February, when we made ChatGPT (powered by GPT-3.5) attempt UPSC prelims, it failed miserably. Out of 100 questions (Paper 1), the AI chatbot was able to answer only 54 questions correctly. Its inability to clear the exam became a source of pride for many aspirants.
