AI Needs No App Store

Today, Meta took the bold step of expanding its mixed reality ecosystem by open-sourcing its Meta Quest operating system, Meta Horizon OS, to third-party hardware manufacturers. This enables companies such as ASUS, Lenovo, and Qualcomm to develop their own devices using the platform, similar to Google's approach with Android for smartphones.

AI needs no app store 

With AI, Meta is also brewing something similar by open-souring Llama 3. It now looks to dethrone the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg recently spoke about his vision for AI, saying he doesn’t want it to end up like mobile apps.
